Hydra Fifty Two HD making me crazy

Ok, so I upgraded today and installed 2 Hydra Fifty Two Hd lights. The lighting is amazing but the app is making me crazy. It connects, then disconnects. Tell you the truth I dont have any confidence the lights will come on tomorrow according to the schedule. It just keeps timing me out. I had to reboot several times. Anyone have any suggestions before I throw them both in the pool out back along with the Iphone?

Yeah call AI Monday and explain to them what's happening. They'll get you sorted out I'm sure.

Well if anyone cares I am going to have to take the Hydra's back. I cant take it anymore. Horrible. litterally 2 whole days and nothing. I spoke to cust. service and not much help. Sent me a video or 2. I am not the most tech savy guy, but what the heck. This hobby is suppose to be enjoyable. I can say I did not enjoy the last 2 days. The lighting is amazing compared to the 2 black box LED's I got, but who can get them to work. I think I am taking them back. Frustrated is not even close to how I feel. Way beyond that. I have since disconnected them 5 minutes ago and re ran wires to hook up the black boxes. On to the next. :(

I wont be taking mine back but im blown away at a few things. 1, the CS stinks and 2, i hang my lights with ext rail and hanging kit for ceiling and both lights lean towards the back. This is not a install issue, AI confirmed, and they told me to buy some car tire weights to offset the weight. $1300 later and i still need to spend more money. Unreal. Should have sent with Kessil.

I'm having connectivity issues as well but with the hydra 26hd's. I have had the ai primes on my smaller tank for 2 yrs and have had 0 issues which is why I went with the 26's on my new build. I'm a little disappointed so far but am hoping that the issue will be resolved with a firmware update. I'm somewhat tech savvy and can't figure out what the issue is.

How far is your wireless router from the lights? How many devices does your router support? How many devices are connected at any given time?

Thanks for asking @Griff , everything has been looked at 4 times over includeing the questions you asked. Luckily, I took the one light back today that I suspected was not operational and they replaced it. Currently looking at my tank with the new HYdra HD's hooked up watching it do a random lighting storm. Love them and glad they did me right. Tanks Allot in South Florida is a stand up company. I may be adding another tank to my home through them soon based on the level of service they have provided me over the last few months.

If you will email ecotech now they will get back with you pretty quick. Also with the 26 and the 52 HD I have found they work better if you just go through the phone app and don't try to connect to your router.
