Here is my set up under AL Hydra 26 light. I loved the light when I just got it at the beginning. Sps, LPS, and zoas are doing great. Can't complain.

Here's my 2 hydra 26's on my 75. I LOVE these lights. Couldnt ask for a better light for the money. The only thing i thought was rather sketchy was the rail set up. I dont like that you have to have 2 screws to hold on your lights to the bar

The only way you can have them vertical is if you put one on each rail but then you have to criss-cross them i dont know if you know what i mean

I belive you can with the extended rails, possibly. I would think it would work. Or maybe only if its on the hanging rail

I have all the colors set at 60% It seems to be where my corals like it and what i think looks attractive. I might turn it more blue later on depending on how they do. As far as the lights hanging goes. You can do it vertical with putting the grooves on the lights through the bars but you then dont get support from the plastic bits at the end. I was going to do that but decided against it. Maybe ill try it later on but my tank seems to be fine as it is.

How much and where did you get the rail set from? Going to upgrade from t5 lights to two Hydra 26 lights on my 75g tank in a few weeks and wound rather have a fixture than have them hanging from the ceiling!

I work at a aquarium cleaning company so i got it at cost. It is just the rail kit that you can buy from AI. So any place that you order or purchase it from should be able to order it for you with the lights. Make sure you get the director with it or the controller. I got the director and am very pleased with how it sets up

No problem. Enjoy them! Also remember that the controller and the director are two different things. The director is what links wirelessly so you can get it on the computer where as the controller is just a controller that controls it from just that device.

No. You have to have a controller or the director to use them. And yes my eel is pretty puppy dog tame. I've given him a few pets before. He is also well fed
