So i’ve seen plenty of different methods to use H.P. to kill GHA
The one that works best for me in to apply 1ml of 3% H.P. onto the GHA on my rocks (since they’re too big and have too many corals to just be taken out)
My question is: can i use the one found at drugstores? Or do i have to go after the food grade H.P.? it’ll take long to get here so if i can just buy the regular one i’d get over with the problem faster

I had no issues with the drug store peroxide. just be positive it's 3% and not the more concentrated stuff. I'd also use it sparingly- it made my zoas in particular unhappy, and you don't want globs of GHA all over the tank going up in flames all at once.

When I had this issue I went in for over an hour pulling as much as I possibly could out by hand, then used peroxide on the small tufts that were left. After I supplemented the CUC and let them do the rest. Haven't had an issue since!

I buy the double pack at Sam's Club. I think it is 3% but honestly I've never really paid attention. I've just squirted on rocks with algae issues. Usually takes a couple of applications to get rid of the algae. For my zoas on my frag rack I have put the whole frag rack in a container and used 50 to 75% HP to water ratio with no issues. That usually only takes 1 application to get rid of all the algae. I've also put zoa frags in 100% HP with no issues.

Try adding a Mexican turbo snail in before dosing peroxide. I had terrible GHA and got tired of manually removing the stuff. Added a MTS and within 2 weeks, huge difference. 1 turbo per 10 gallons is what is recommended. My snail is an aquatic lawnmower.
