Crusso Kid and Danny,
Thanks for kicking this around. I'll explain more specifically what I need to do, perhaps that will stimulate some ideas.
Based on a custom product I'm making for my reef I need to be able to identify when a device has turned either 1/4, 1/2, 3/4 or all the way around. I plan on placing magnets on a rotating disc (90 deg increments) and then a stationary reed switch to detect when the magnets pass by. I'd like the controller to trigger an output based on the 1/4 intervals of rotation. There will be times I need to trigger the output on 1/4, 1/2, 3/4 or full rotation of the disc. I can do this with four reed switches and four different rings of magnets around the disc, but that requires more channels and clap trap than needed.
I have committed to the Hydros platform for a few reasons, but perhaps automation like this may not be practical with the Hydros.
Any thoughts are welcome.
