Sorry to hear about that. I have used a controller for the entire 6 years this my tank has been up and running. I have never attempted to do a firmware update while I was not where I can see what is happening with the controllers and the tank. Too many things can happen during the transition. I am a beta tester and I did not have the issue and we tried downgrading and upgrading several times. It is hard to know beforehand if the test group has no issues that something like this will happen. This was a major update and normally they do not change as much with each update.Thought I would add to this discussion. I have two XP8 and an X4 Controller. This was my first time updating the firmware and I made the mistake of doing so while driving my kids to daycare. Fifteen minutes after I updated it my wife called in a panic and said the tank was about to overflow. When I looked in the app, every single piece of equipment was set to "override on." Approximately 1.5-2 gallons of ATO water filled a 33 gallon Waterbox and sent the salinity from 35-30 in a fifteen minute timeframe.
All the LPS look fine (some even looked downright happy), the fish are fine, even some of the acros still have good PE and look fine but I know I am going to lose some of my SPS. I brought the salinity back up to 32 or so and filled the ATO with saltwater to bring it slowly back up to 35.
Feel downright sick about this.
This happened today 07/29. Accepting any advice/words of consolation.
