Yes. My minnow is connected to my X4 command port in a collective. You will need a terminator

The Minnow is a controller and connects to the command bus of the collective. If using in a collective do not use the power supply that comes with it unless you use a data only bus cable between it and another source of power.

Do you just have an X4 at this time other than the Minnow? If so then the power supply that comes with either the X4 or Minnow may have a terminator installed but I would still get 2 terminators if you don't have them since that is all that is needed per collective. If you ever get a XP8, XD, X10 or any other controller that has a separate power input to hook the power supply to you will have to remove the power supply that comes with the X4 or Minnow since they can only be used if they are the only source of power. You cannot even use two of those. If the power supply connect to the command bus then do not connect it or use it with any other source of power on the command bus.

Then you have one of the power supplies that plug into the command bus. When connecting the Minnow to the X4 using a command bus cable do not connect or use the power supply with the Minnow since with those types of power supplies you can only have one. The controller like the Wave engines and X10, XP8 and Launch have a separate connector or an AC plug for power. There is isolation built into the controller between the power supply or power connector and the command bus. The power supplies that connect directly to the command bus do not have the isolation. I would still go ahead and get the terminators so you will have them if you do get a controller later on that has it's own supply built into it or a separate power connector.
