has anyone bought the hydros sole doser? I bought the smart reef tester last week and returned it because it sucked and I couldn’t get it to connect to internet. I’m hoping I don’t have to return this doser too. I got it to connect fine. But it doesn’t pump. It doesn’t do anything.
I tried setting it to simple doser. When I went to prime it as directions said by doing a manual dose before calibration, I would hit the manual button but nothing happened. I contacted support. They said your reservoir is low. ???

So I tried setting reservoir level in app. Made no difference.
I deleted the simple doser output. I installed new output as smart doser continuous pump option. Uploaded changes to cloud. It communicated fine the sole doser flickered blue to show it worked and is communicating with app just fine.
Then as before

Went to prime it by doing a manual dose as per sites instructions. The second I hit the manual button it does nothing except switch back to auto. It doesn’t bring up the timer it doesn’t do anything. The motor doesn’t spin. I then try calibrate just to see if that can start the dosing pump. As soon as I start calibration it kicks back to auto mode and does nothing.
I really don’t want to have to return this. I know your offices are closed on weekends but a phone call on Monday when I’m off would be greatly appreciated. Smart reef wouldn’t call and their customer support was awful. I’m hoping yours is better.
I’m attaching 2 pics. One to show you the manual I’m trying to press to prime doser. The second image is how I have it set in output.

I was blown away with how helpful their customer service was. He called me even when their offices had closed just to help me when I got home. Fixed the issue and even calibrated for me and walked me through setting schedule. Super happy with this company.

I got help from Michael. Top notch customer service. Very happy. Doser works great now. Apparently I had it turned so slow of a speed it was imperceptible that it was moving.

I was just gonna say that it looks like you have it set to "1 mL per minute", and that would be a painfully slow dose.

I have a Hydros controller set up on multiple systems and hope to add another one in 2025. Connor, Carlos, and others from CoralVue have definitely helped me over the years!

I was having all of these problems today. I'm now working thanks to this thread. As a new Hydros user I was very disappointed in the lack of setup information from Coralvue. There was no information in the box. Is this typical for Coralvue?

yea instructions werent great, but the product works great and the customer service was great. he spent like an hour on the phone with me. set my schedules for me. did everything to help me. another issue is the directions didnt tell me how to connect those tubes and that if you dont push them in past the o rings, it wont work properly, like you have to shove those tubes in deep, it didnt mention that in directions. but again, the guy on phone walked me through it all. so yea, they could def have better directions but im still happy overall.

From my experience, there is a lot of Hydros set up information on their website and other places online. As was mentioned, they also have strong customer service when you get to the right person. While CV clearly could do better, many companies have switch to online-only documentation and training.

We do not have any directions in the box, to keep constantly updated, we provide that online. As well, it is linked within the app. There is a QR code on the box that will take you to the setup instructions!

We have setup instructions for every part of HYDROS available at CoralVueHYDROS.com, as well, if you are having trouble, we HIGHLY encourage you to reach out to support at support.coralvue.com.

Hey, I’m having the same issue, what did you do to fix it?
I'm thinking I increased the dosing rate. (I've attached screen shots.) The default is quite slow.
If that doesn't help then CoralVue support is excellent.

you have to change the pump speed. mine was so slow it was imperceptible that it was moving. just bump up the speed. also always make sure all the lights are green with wifi blue.
