Hydros Sole won’t update firmware?

I have a hydros setup and I need to update to firmware 388. My controller updates fine but my sole always fails the update, sometimes it downloads some other attempts nothing but always fails. I have to revert the main controller to the old firmware to use anything, which is really annoying. Every time I use the app it wants me to update too. Any ideas? I tried rebooting the sole first and other than that I’m out of ideas!

Is the pump head on the Sole possibly between the router and the back part of the controller. If so it might be interfering with wifi signal between the Sole and router. Make sure the Sole download is good before actually installing it on any of your controllers in the collective. That goes for all the controllers though make sure all downloaded are ready for install before installing the firmware.

I have two wireless routers, both in different places in my house above grade, but the hydros stuff is in my basement fishroom. I don’t believe it’s the doser head interfering but I could be wrong. The x4 has no issues updating, and I don’t believe the sole ever did before this update. So it will always seemingly fail the download at some point early in the progress (between 6% and 23% complete) and no error given, just jumps back as if I never started the download. Attached a screenshot right where it got stuck the last time. I’ve tried with the x4 updated to 388 and also with it reverted, nothing I’ve tried makes an impact.

You might want to submit a support ticket for the issue with CoralVue and let them look into it. My Sole updated to 388 without any issues.
