I have the original wave engine and want to buy a varioS 4 return.
Will I be able to control it from 0-100% or will it still only have limited control?

You will get more precise control over using the standard varios controller itself. The standard controller has 20% increments. But control from both the wave engines 0-10v output into the varios controller or using the varios as a direct drive pump will give you much finer control, I think 1% increments. There may be some slight differences in max flow between using it as a direct drive pump and 0-10v/varios controller due to differences in the pump driver, but I dont think it will be noticeable.
