I have a Hygger LED light for my 60gallon tank. I got this in a deal with another tank purchase. Is this any good for a reef tank? I want to have some coral and fish but I want to make sure they will not be harmed by this light.
Here is the URL to the light. I have the 72w version. Product Link

Nope, looks freshwater to me and of low intensity.

If your going to keep corals, lights become most important.
Reef lighting requires the correct spectrum with peaks in the 420nm and 660nm as well as sufficient intensity for your sized aquarium.

If your on a budget, have a look at Nicrew Hypereef 100w, if you tank is a 4 footer, two would be required.

There are other options you can review. Keep in mind the two peaks and your going to need somewhere between 150 and 200 watts.

Hope that helps

The light in the middle is the Hypereef.
Besides are Aqueon Halos.
On each end are Visparspectra.

Looks like the hypereef lights are not controllable? Do you just use a timer for on/off function?
Yup, no fancy stuff at all.
Just any on/off timer.
My corals don’t care much for ramps, storms, and WiFi.
They just seem to like the same light, everyday, no change.

Well looks weak and not the "preferred" spectrum mix..From your link:
Suitable for planted and freshwater aquariums: This LED light provides full spectrum necessary for keeping and growing healthy aquatic plants.
Standard 60 is 48x 13 x 24.. Light really doesn't cover that depth either.

I cant have coral in this tank?! light doesnt get down 24"?
Some does. Those type lights at that wattage may push 70 par at 18" dead center.
Your effective height would be like 24"- 2" sand plus 1" (light off top of tank). So 23".
PAR might hit 30-40. Keep in mind that is like one small area in the open. Way less front/ back left right.
Anything that can live w that amount of light may work.

All rough estimates though.

If there is little coral in the tank, should I get blue white light or WRGB light?

Between flu 4 and hygger led, I finally choose the 48w for my tank 36'', I like the way it looks.
