Added a Naso to QT today, is small so my filtration should have a problem handling this amount of fish. Air stone added for O2 and surface agitation.

I haven't started the clock just yet as I have only dosed twice at half the recommended dosages so I assume I'm half way or less. My tester will be here tomorrow and I will start testing them.
Still all fish are eating and looking well.

What are you feeding it for? A specific disease or parasite?

Hoping to use it mostly as a preventive.

ahh. Well I've only used it a few times and never had any noticeable effects from it whether positive or negative. I wouldn't know how much or how long to feed it as a preventative. Maybe somebody else will chime in with an opinion.

Fish are looking good and eating really well!!

However tank is getting cloudy, there is a lot of fish and I probably feed a bit too much. Hey, at least they are eating.

Should I worry? What do I need to do if anything?

Maybe up the water changes to keep the cloudiness at bay. You don't want to have a bacterial bloom which can happen while in QT even if you arn't mixing meds. Def want to avoid that.

syphon off the bottom to be sure nothing nasty stays in. Fix up your saltwater beforehand like you would normally, only this time you are adding the therapeutic level of copper to the water before it goes into the QT. Easy enough. Just be careful not to cross contaminate any other tanks while doing this

What about my mixing container? Will I ever be able to use my Brute for my reef tank again?

Not 100% sure about that. I mixed water in the brute then transferred some to a 5 gallon jug to mix in the copper and pour into the QT. Of course you can use a 5 gallon bucket for this that way you don't risk anything else.

I guess I could do that, but I'll need to change a lot more than 5 gallons.

Lol, this is why I tried to avoid Copper. I could use the Brute I use for the waste water when I do water changes but a 55 gallon Brutes are so handy, I hate to have to limit what I can use it for.

yeah. it can be a pain, but totally worth it. The waste water brute is a good idea. I used to do 10 gallon water changes and used two 5 gallon jugs. I have four, so those two became the waste water jugs. They actually broke today, so now I might need to go get more :(

You only have 4, lol. Man I have so many.... so many. Guess I could just use multiple but that's going to be a big pain to mix, measure, O2/pH stabilized and heat. Nope. I'll just use the bigass Brute.

Not laughing at you, at my OCD can't throw away anything that could be useful self.

OH that's just the jugs with handles (easier for me to move around when full). I have tons of buckets from salt and whatnot. Most of them I take to the store for us to use. They are endlessly useful!

Updated:

Lost the PB and Yellow Tangs. They all were eating very well. No equipment failures, they died several days apart and I test Copper nearly daily. No signs of anything external. This is very troubling. I hope I don't lose anymore.
