I’ve got a 6-8” chalice that I want to move off the sand bed. I’ve got the cheap Chinese leds from 5 years ago so I can’t dim them out. I’ve read that watermelons can withstand a move towards the top of the tank and am planning on doing so this weekend.

The coral will be approximately 8 inches from the top of the water and 18” total from the light. I only run the white lights 6 hours a day, but the blues for 10.

After I move the chalice higher in the tank what should I look out for if it’s stressed beyond standard acclimation grumbles.
