i’m not sure what’s wrong with my leather coral?

hey everyone i just got these guys a week ago and i noticed this white flesh building up on the finger leather, anyone know what could be causing this? also don’t remember seeing it prior to purchase. he has been opening and extending his polyps, though, so i’m not entirely sure what can be causing this. the toadstool in the back came attached on the same rock as him, he didn’t extend his polyps the entire day yesterday are they ticking each other off? i just did a water change this morning because my nitrates were at 25ppm. any help would be appreciated. thanks!

It sounds like it's shedding which they do and is completely normal.
