So I bought the Reef Factory ATO on sale at BRS. I did not realize it was a cloud based app use only product. (it says no where in the description). Well I can get the app to connect to the dosing pump, but can not get the app to connect with my Wifi. I have a bunch of other 2.4 things connected. But when the app is looking for networks it does not find any. Anybody have any hacks? Also apparently BRS will not take this back.

That sucks like a vacuum cleaner in a tornado. I had heard rumblings that aqua forest expressed interest in purchasing the brand but beyond that, not sure. Sorry brother.

I think it has to do with my tri-band router. Telegram just said his hooked up the first time.

Do you have them all named the same? Or do you have a separate ssid name for your 2.4 network?

Are you able to control it via access point? I control my RF doser by connecting directly to the unit's wifi and making modifications in the app from there.

I have a separate named 2.4 "Sculpin"

Nope, I tried everything suggested here + other places and it just endlessly searches for wifi with no luck, not able to return it either

So angry... spent all day trying to make this work... even set up a dedicated 2.4 ghz. For some that I reached out to. Boom! no issues, set up right away. Others not so much... Even though I got this on sale at BRS, spending $1 on this would have been too much!

Likely a clearance final sale considering reef factory shut down.

Dispute the charge with your card company and get your money back.

Clearance... because it sucks apparently. And sale items are not returnable now I guess.. Different company now...

What I like to do for my reef equipment is set up a guest WiFi without dynamic ip and only 2.4ghz

I think that that is the only silver lining of today... I can slowly transfer the 2.4 to my reef stuff now that it is set up.
