Hi,

in my last post, I talked about having a plant rizome in my saltwater tank in the comment. The first picture was when I originally found it and the second one is after a few weeks. It hasn't grown any leaves or roots. It just grew a bit and bent like that. Here's the few possibilities that I have found : sea grass, macro algae and salicornia (less probable). I showed this photo to my lfs and they were as confused as me on what it could be. I'm keeping it because I want a definitive answer on this mystery. It only got longer and more curled. I'd like for more opinions on what this could be as I already named it Alien Rizome.

Is it "clearish" green? Looks like a piece of chaeto macro algae.

Thanks! I put it back in my tank and I don't know where it went. Well, I got mine for free.

Be careful with it in the display. Very few things eat Cheato and it can grow fast.

Thanks! The thing is, it took weeks before it got curled up like that. I also decided to keep it because I wanted to see what it would become. It's lost somewhere in my tank now and probably won't find it again.

If you find it again maybe go get yourself a sucker observation container to put on side of your tank so you can view it to what it may become without loosing it again
