I got a couple frags from my LFS store today. Since I am new to corals I was going to get a couple Zoas. This looked like a Zoa with the polyps out but after dipping and adding all the polyps retracted and it doesn't look like a Zoa. Can anyone tell me what this is?

Image helps :) when the polyps are out they look just like a Zoa. It is still ticked from the revive dip.

Are you sure it's not a Leptastrea or something similar as opposed to a Goniopora? You might want to count the number of polyps just to be sure.

They finally started to open up. They don't have stalks like some of the Google pictures I found of flowerpot corals. The top one is fully open and extended the rest are slowly coming out. I'm having a hard time getting a pic with my iPhone. The rest of he colors are all off but the polyp color in the pic is accurate.

Alevopora: 12 tentacles on each polyp,
Goniopora: 24 tentacles on each polyp.

It's Goniopora for sure with 24 and it's an encrusting type. Here it is now that it fully opens. I fed it some reef roids the other day and it ate it up fast.
