I had the cutest little Yellow Watchman. Woke up one morning to the hermit crabs eating him. Don't know what happened. Decided to get a Diamond, woke up one morning and he was nowhere to be found. We assumed he jumped and that my dog got him. Got a Tiger, woke up this morning and SAW my dog with it in her mouth. After we lost the Diamond we replaced the top and we cannot figure out how he jumped. I love these little guys and their personalities but makes me so sad to have lost three.

They can slip through the smallest of holes. I had a yellow watchman that found the corner notch in my screen top that was supposed to have a powerhead cord going through it but had been taken out for cleaning.

The top looks pretty secure to me. I will check it better tonight. It just makes me sad and I feel guilty because I am wondering what I could have done to prevent this.

Some fish and gobys are strong enough to lift the top if they get a good start they can hit the top and flying away they go I’ve bad it happen to me too

I lost 2 Diamond Watchman Gobies in about a 3-4 month span (the first one I had had for almost a year). Either way, I am done with them for the time being as well. I will be switching to Nassarius Snails for sand aeration.

Aww, I'm sorry. I really liked these guys too.

Wow, that's crazy. I know larger fish but never figures this size fish.

I've never really liked gobies for various reasons. I had one that refused to eat and died in a week, and I also had one jump out of the net while I was bringing it to the tank

I lost 2 diamond gobies and currently on my 3rd attempt. So far he is doing great in the quarantine tank for the last 2 months. Just got a yellow watchman and I agree, he is the cutest little guy. Sorry you lost yours.

I can believe it, I have glass tops on my 90 and virtually no space for a Diamond Watchman Goby to squeeze through and it still ended up in my overflow a few weeks back.

So do I, they have such interesting mannerisms (ie when they decide to move my hermits to another spot).
