As the title suggests, I came out this morning to one of my African Monos on the floor. He was dry but not dehydrated dry. I put him back in the tank thinking the worst, but I got home today, and to my surprise he is still living (kinda). He will swim around a little and then go belly up for a few. His eyes are a little cloudy and he's lost a lot of color. I'm torn as to what I should do. I don't want him to suffer anymore, but I don't want to dispatch him if he will recover. I know some of you have had this happen, so how did you handle it?
