Skip dips, they would just add extra stress to this case. The 1.012 SG will handle flukes.

Sharks and rays should not go through hypo. Most other fish are fine. Some deep water reef fish are thought to be less tolerant due to their habitat, but I haven’t seen that myself.
DT is 1.013 now. QT is 1.012 as of this AM after last fresh water add. All fish in DT seem to be ok. Added small damsel as test fish to DT this afternoon. We’ll see but should be able to transfer remaining fish from QT to DT now as your last post suggests. Correct?

Yes, that is fine. Just to check - can you get a redundant reading for that salinity checker? Does it match up its reading with your other hydrometer? I've had issues with those reading off, and I've heard that from other people as well....

Yes I double checked with a handheld refectometer just in case and it read same for both tanks within .001 readings of each other. DT tank is still at 1.013 as is the QT now when checked. Fish are doing with last adjustment in QT and copper levels. Test fish in QT is ok as well. Will hold off transfer beginning transfer of QT fish to allow full 14 days of QT since last fish was added 1 week ago and thus would reset the QT clock per you guys recommended protocols for QT. Other thoughts? Suggestions?

Updates…damsel test fish has done well in the DT so far. Now at end of week 1 and no concerns or issues observed. DT remains at sp gravity 1.012 while QT was at 1.013 sp gravity when transfers began about 5 days ago. Have been moving 1 or 2 fish every 36-48 hrs from DT and so far have my juvenile Tonomi Tang, Yellow Tang, and now two wrasse (yellow corris and melanarius) as of Wed night. Doing well and appeared after initial hiding but still watching them as they came from higher salinity DT at 1.017. Juvenile Naso tang will go over next 24hrs but so far so good. Any concerns LMK

Updates…Naso tang onboard in DT now and eating and acclimating to new surroundings. Elibi angel is next up and goes in tonight or tomorrow. So far so good and no signs of illness or distress. Fingers crossed! 🤞

Going ok so far! 👍🏾

@Jay Hemdal doing good Jay. Got all but my Sohal tang and 2 stripies successfully transfers back into DT and new fish from LFT also survived QT at hypo and copper. Only two fish were added direct from LFS…test damsel which watched for about 2 weeks in DT at hypo salinity of 1.012 to see if tank was ok chemistry wise for fish and no flukes or ich had remained and a hippo tang which I added next after 10+ days and a healthy damsel activity. Both doing well and started QT fish xfer every 3-4 days watching transferred fish closely to see if any signs of disease or stress occurred. Both DT and QT were at 1.012 during transfers. QT has crept
up to 1.015 with salt water top off but 3 fish in the QT Sohal and 2 stripies remain healthy. Holding off adding Sohal due to aggressive nature and other tangs that transfered before him…he’ll be last to go but so far so good.

Thanks guys..any additional comments welcome!
