I bought this Copperband about a week and a half ago and I’m trying to get him to eat. So I brought a rock from another tank and put it in with him. It has a large aptasia not quite as big as my thumb. He’s going on three days worth of ignoring it now…

You may need to get him eating anything before he might consider aptasia. Maybe some live brine shrimp to entice him to eat. Once he begins eating, he might change his eating habits, but I think they need to be comfortable enough to eat, first.

Good luck!

(I have a very large “Aptasia Eating Filefish” in another tank— I could drop him in and see whether he lives up to his name! Lol.)

Sorry to hear about your slacking copperband. I have 3 peppermint shrimp that have yet to eat any aiptasia. Bunch of slackers. I'm looking at other methods to get rid of the aiptasia.

Good luck!
