One thing i hate being an Engineer is I over think and over complicate EVERYTHING. My old, very old, Gen 2 Radions have finally died and I am going to replace very soon. I'm looking at several options but think I have limited to two 1x Radion XR30 Pro or 1x Radion XR15Pro with 2x AI Blade Grows. Its a 24" x 24" cube 18" deep, I'm primarily hoping the tank to be a Zoathind tank with possibly a few Montipora up top. Anyone using either setup or have any other suggestions that they have used?

(Tank Pic add when first setup, its a lot clearer now but dark)

Just throwing this out there since your on Gen 2 so maybe not familiar with mobius? Mobius is notorious for loosing track of the correct date and time which causes the lights to come on at all hours of the night. My Gen 4 XR15s are shelved and I'm only using Mobius for vortechs now. The issue has been going on for years with no effort made to correct it. Not everyone experiences the issue. Supports fix is to sync the date/ time but that only fixes it until the next time is loses track. My services have always lost track after a power outage but this is not the same. Power outage always goes to 2010 and this issue is random.

Screen shots from a few days ago. My device clock is not incorrect. Odd also is that I have a 4th tank in mobius and it didn't loose sync.

Funny engineering thoughts.
Engineers are supposed to make the process easier for the production workers.
Most engineers I have known over the years like to complicate things, lol.
When i was an engineer in Silicon Valley I went to the operators to find the issue. I can't tell you how many engineers could not run the process they were in charge of.

Anyway lots of light choices out there.

Go with a gen 5 or 6 30.
This is an xr15 gen 5 blue on my 15" cube.

One 30 will work well for your system and grow anything you want.

Engineering over complication doesn't hold a candle to programmers over complication .
Just thought I'd throw that in.

Anyways at least consider the Reefi...
From an over engineered standpoint .
🤣

Seems like the way to narrow it down is to define your criteria...ppresumably that's how you ended up with the radions.

You didn't say the Radions were a problem, so is there something compelling you away from just plopping the newer model in their place? (If so, what?)
