Odd aesthetic for sure. Can’t imagine lighting it to do a reef. So many lights....

Thirty three days of running the RO/DI to fill it (@150 gallons per day). How many pallets of salt would someone need?
Did you account for evaporation? My 150 evaporated 3.8 gallons yesterday per my DOS log. 4900/150*3.8=124 GPD evaporation. That would obviously vary, but wow!

No did not take into account evaporation - but if you have the funds for that size of tank, perhaps you can have an evaporative collection system as well for complete tropical paradise

You're doing it wrong my friend. You ask for this one first and then, as a sign of respect, you negotiate down, in good faith of course, to something around say 100 gallons. She'll be the big winner as you've gone down 99.9% from what you were asking. All you get is "only" a small tank. She'd probably be cool with you filling it up with bunch of expensive livestock as well. You know, throw you a bonene..

Be a man! Who runs the house the wide or you? Just tell her what you plan on doing. She will get over it.

I’d pay that if it looked better take a bat to it it’s trash
I was thinking that too. Definitely the ugliest point of sale I've ever seen. Looks like...I'm not even sure what it looks like. Maybe scrap metal welded together? If you're gonna pay me to take it, sure, but I wouldn't drop one dime on it.

When to mix up fish meal: When was the last time you tried a different brand of food for your reef?
