Ok I figured it out guys after speaking with an expert and a local fish store, they are Aiptasia baby's lol

Youll want a positive id on this just incase, because bobbit worms could get nasty. Get a clear photo of the mouth/tenticles. Plus get a clear photo of the body to see if theirs feet.

Idk I been trying to figure out what they are! I setup the tank like a week ago and I want to make sure they are harmless before I start putting coral in there!

At some point you have to use your best judgement. I believe these to be bobbit worms. I would not take a chance of a later problem. I would start over and cook your rock before placing it in the tank.

It's not a bobbit. The tentacles are feathered in the pictures and a bobbit has smooth tentacles.

I am not convinced that is its tentacle, maybe something else in the water column next to it.

I apologize if these photos are HUGE, as they are screen captures from my iPad and I hope they don't show up elephant size.... I believe there are tentacles visible in all three photos which would make me lean towards them being attached to the critter and not the surrounding environment.

fyi medusa is cucumber :)

so really I think cucumber is not in doubt at this point. However from what I read you won't be able to id without knowing where rock came from etc etc.. to many to id

good vs bad we all know the never ending toxin debate

I honestly would not worry about this critter at all. This variety isn't harmful. They often starve in our tanks.
