I noticed something strange on my torch

After my lights dimmed for the night and my torch pulled itself in, I noticed something living on it. During the day my torch seems great, and even ate a lot last night. It looks like a small feather duster, should I remove it, what is it, what is the best way to get this off if it's harmful?


This little guy seems to pulse of that helps.
