I really need help with my scoly, I’ve had it for nearly 3 months it’s starting to recede, I noticed it a couple of weeks ago, I’ve had a sand shifting goby that constantly through sand on all my scolys which I’ve manage to get out of my tank now, the scolys mouth seems to stay open now constantly however it’s as if the mouth is missing all I see is a hole with no mouth, I’ve tried dipping in sea chem iodine, brightwell Koral Md, polyplab Priemer I’ve been using brightwell amino as well as brightwell restor however the scoly has stopped eating for almost a month now, and feeding tentacles are not coming out at night anymore, however the scoly is puffed up, when dipping and using a pipete to agitate the water, old food and detritus comes out of the mouth however not from the eradicating it, it’s from me using the pipete you will see in the pics all the detritus in the water from the dip, I really love this piece and I am out of options I have 9 other scolys doing perfectly fine with no issue and are growing, I’ve moved the scoly into a low flow area however doesn’t seem to help, my parameters are all good and the rest of my corals are super happy

please help

Sounds like you have done everything possible, IMO frequent dips in all those different products can also be potentially stressful. I would just let it run it’s course, if the rest of your Acans are thriving I wouldn’t change anything with your system.. Sometimes a particular coral just doesn’t make it for what could be a million reasons. Good luck with your scoly

Move to a less stressful spot in the tank and let it recover from the dips.

When to mix up fish meal: When was the last time you tried a different brand of food for your reef?
