Hey
So I noticed some strange behavior from my clown fish
He's rubbing on the side on the sandbed breathing heavy from the top of the tank
A little white spots , like color peeling from him
I heard fresh water dip is good until my lfs will open tomorrow, tap water? Ro/di water?
I do not have QT tank I'm a new reefer with nano tank .
What to do next :/

So there are 3 things that could be happening there could be a lot of things happening, but what I think could be the possibilities is either levels are quite low, or your fish has ich, sometimes clownish will do this if there’s an enemy too strong in the tank or if they’re being bullied it’s when they’re stress I know I had a Cian enemy in my tank and my clownish got stung. Ripped a couple bits of skin off. It was sunburnt and it started peeling as if it was sunburn, and sometimes catfish just rub their bodies against the sand in a fast jerky motion to takeoff dirt and flash and dirty, like peeling skin off of their body so trying to clean them themselves, and if you don’t have an anemone in the tank that could be why you see him scratching around

Also, water perimeters would help me be able to see what what’s up

Sorry I was panic xD
So ammonia, nitrite 0
Nitrate a bit high at 40.(.I'm on it)
It seems that he got calm down after getting a treatment by my skunk shrimp
It's a new reef, next step is to put anemone I waited a week to see if other corals okay to put one, I think the tank is ready
Maybe he had something disturbing him and it is not brooklynella?
As you see he is missing a bit of he's white color near the head ( I saw it was peeled of live)

Did you get a wild caught or tank bred fish? Is he eating ok presently? Freshwater dip is with RODI for 5 minutes but only if certain disease is suspected.

He is eating well and beyond today .
He seems to calm down,

As you see in this video he got treatment and stopped to go on the top / side scratching on the sand
Do you think it was something temporary?
He did peeled of a bit of he's skin.

I am not sure prime seachem will help this situation. If anything - I would buy bottled bacteria - or a large water change. I would suggest not buying an anemone until /if everything resolves

You could add that - per directions on the bottle. I would not do prime

You need some o2 exchange asap. I think I see a HOB filter in one of the pics but that's not enough.

Prime will do nothing and is a water conditioner . Looks to be early signs of brooklynella and if true, you will see loss of color, loss of appetite, lethargic behavior, increased breathing, unusual swimming patterns as examples. Does often confused with ich will be secondary bacterial lesions
Are you noticing these signs?
