What about two of these inexpensive icecap gyres?

Only 150$ each and two of them would give me 6000 gph flow!

I could mount one each on the back wall behind each rock structure.

I got another Tunze 6105, honestly it shouldn't have been that hard a decision.

The Tunze is super versatile, reliable, quiet, controllable, flexible and on and on. It beats out all the other pumps in most of not all.

This will put me at 80x display for flow. Hopefully that should do it

Playing with the flow before my Second Tunze 6105 arrives. The BRS Gyre video inspired me a bit so here is video showing the gyre effect with the pump in different positing.

That last video shows exactly what I've been trying to achieve. The problem is that it looks terrible.

The good thing is that I feel very confident I can create a very strong gyre effect in my tank using two Tunze 6105s.

If one pumps is capable of creating a gyre two should be able to make a whirlpool. That's what I want. With both the MP60 and 6105 going in the same general direction right now my entire tank is filled with turbulence. It's great, PE has improved in just the last few hours

For placement, should I:

A, place both6105s opposite to the MP60?

B, Place an 6105at each end. (I'm leaning on this one for now seeing what is happing now)

C, place all three at the end with the MP60? (Seems crazy but could work )

D, you decided here............

The 6105's on the end could hand the tank solo. (Not saying that's ideal placement....just saying.)

Since you mentioned it, I'd start with that.....and try the mp60 on the back wall. At least that will get the motor and cable from the Vortech out of view.

I run 7 Jebao RW8s in my 90 gallon all controlled by my Apex with 2 on battery backup. If found the additional flow going from 2 to 7 has kickstart some of my corals that haven't been growing and made a noticeable increased growth rate for everything else. I did have to get rid of the one torch coral I had there just was no longer a place with low enough flow and I didn't want to change my rock work to accommodate.
