I want to go get a Banggai cardinalfish but worried I have to much I have a 20 gal high tank my current stock

1 lighting maroon clown
1 aptisia filefish ( may have to get rid of soon)
1 diamond goby
1 cleaner shrimp
Various snails and hermits and urchin

can I get one or no?

As far as I can tell my fish do not looked stressed

my current fish are still small I know they get bigger and will eventually need a bigger tank

Still working on my little breakout

Your aquarium looks great :) you have a big fat skunk/cleaner shrimp (obviously healthy from overfeeding ;) as we all do)
One small marroon that looks lost?

You could possibly build up a little higher with aquascape (just my suggestion) or even join both aquascape left and right with some kinda overhang/joining then both together.
This would give good hiding/sleeping places for cardinals, I'm unsure of behaviour of all the fish you have plus want to introduce but honestly in my opinion, I think with just some small adjustments you can add maybe 2-3 more,
These guys won't grow to 5 inch in 1 year due to water volume, however they won't survive long in this space

Thanks you yeah I was thinking about maybe adding a piece across maybe like a a bridge of some sort I think I will hold off on fish for now though everyone seems happy in the tank currently and I’ll wait and save till I can get my next tank
