My name is Wendy and I have had my 40 Gallon breeder tank set up now a little over a year! I just had a bout of Aptasia, After reading best ways to remove, I purchased a filefish and nudabranch. It did the trick but recently noticed that the filefish is bothering my acans. Wondering if anyone else has experienced this at all??

Welcome!

File fish can be hit or miss. Once they get a taste for coral though they will continue to peck at them and can even kill them. I would either increase feeding to see if he’s just hungry and needs a distraction or rehome.

File fish can be problematic once they run out of their preferred food. You may need to try some meaty foods.

I got warned that this may happen. I had it on my list of fish to get, but upon review, I was warned that it may turn to corals. So yeah, guess it happens. Sorry about your situation.
