Icecap K1-50 protein-skimmer

Has anyone used, or does anyone currently have this unit? I had an Octo, and it died, so I need something new. The space in my sub is really limited and the Octo i had was a snug fit. The K1-50 is slightly smaller, which would be good... however, the price point does scare me. With my experience in reefing, I've learned the hard way that cheaper usually isn't good.

I’m currently running one for about 2 years now. The quality isn’t bad. I’ve heard of the pump going out on people but mines going strong. I’m using it on a roughly 40 gallon total system and it does a good job. The water height is easy to adjust but there is no air volume adjustment I suppose you could add one. I have a small skimmer section in my sump as well and this design is pretty compact
