so I have the 400w selectable halide eballast by icecap. This is apparently a rebranded luxcore. It was running great for just about two months.

The past two days the little breaker on the ballast keeps popping randomly which kicks the halide off until reset. I checked all cable connections and the wire connections at the bulb socket and they seem fine. Also made sure the bulb is firmly seated in the socket.

Here’s the weird part. The ballast is hooked up to my eb8 on my apex. If I plug the ballast directly to the wall it doesn’t seem to throw the breaker on the ballast. Only when it is plugged into the apex. I am not savvy with how ballast circuits work and what would cause the breaker in the ballast to switch off. Is there anything that could be happening from the apex outlet that might randomly trigger this?

Hey, was just thinking. My ballast that failed was running my light really white. Then I plugged all the ballads into my eb8. And then it finally didn’t work after that, not even after trying to reset the ballast or trying to run it off a wall outlet
