Saltwater ick is killed at 1. 009 right? I’m at 1.010 right now after a week of getting it down slow.

I’m testing with 3 devices, Hana, refractometer and swing arm, first two have been calibrated and agree with each other.

I see conflicting #’s on the internet

1.009 is hyposalinity level with fish only- not with inverts and coral

yep fish only quarantine tank with 2 new fish, tank has been running over a year at 1.024 so hopefully not a big ammonia spike ( has a sand bed)

PH has dropped to 7.6 should I be adjusting?

Unlikely to see an ammonia spike unless the tank had a really large amount of algae and microfauna.
Hyposalinity works well at 1.009 for ich and flukes. It won’t treat velvet.
Here is a post about it:

Oh crap I forgot about velvet
saw another post that says velvet kills in 24-48 hours, it’s been almost a week. So not velvet?

Parasite has come and gone a few times in the last two weeks since i got the blue tang and Bicolor angle

Correct - velvet kills within 24 to 48 hours, depending on how soon the symptoms are noticed by the aquarist. The primary symptoms of that are rapid breathing and not eating.
