Not really sure what this coral is because it is not getting the care it needs I can tell you. I’m guessing a type of montipora? Picked it up a an LFS sale. The acros are doing fine in the tank

Alk 8.5
Calcium 470
Mag 1350
Ph 7.9
Phosphate .02
Nitrate 10
Radion g5 lighting. On the sand bed 250 par

it has these little mouths that look like it should have full polyp extension but they are ever so receding more and more inside every day.
Not sure what I’m doing wrong.
Tank has a bunch of fish and I feed pretty heavy. Run GFO, carbon and a big skimmer

You don't need to kill it off if it stays on it's own rock island. You can place it on top of almost anything and it will take on the shape of said item.
