Hi, I came across this is a rock pool on the south coast of the UK. I went to pick it up, thinking it was a pebble (I didn't have my glasses on).
Does anyone know what it is?

On a guess I would say some type of Anemone. It's much easier to ID saltwater invertebrates when they are submerged and extended. You could try local tide pool ID books and sites

:)
