ID on pointy things growing on rocks?

Seems to be growing on all my rocks, tried to circle 3 of them in white but you can sorta see them througout.

It is either a type of worm (which is a filter feeding, absolutely fine guy, although they throw out webs and can irritate corals) or it is this type of calcerous algae that is also fine.

It is brittle and breaks off easy so I guess it's just a calcius algae?

The snail shells can be brittle. Crushed easily by fingers or instruments.

Vermited snails. There are a few kinds. The tiny ones like you posted that aren't too bad (but they are sharp and can cut or stick you) and the larger spiral shaped ones that send out a huge mucus net to feed. The larger ones are a pain IMO but those little ones aren't too bad.

Definitely vermetid snails. I have thousands of them. Good news is, as your tank matures, the y retreat to low flow and low light area. You'll never eradicate them, you'll just drive yourself crazy trying to. They never bother anything in my tank. I think it is a myth that they bother coral. I have them in crevices, under overhangs, and in between rocks, and you won't see them. I think they stabilize my rockscape!! LOL!

I got a rock with a clam on it, and it had tons of those tubes like yours Palting. I decided to nix the rock because it was infested with bubble algae. I had a blast smashing all the tubes. Almost like the reefers bubble wrap XD

Wow, throwing out all those identification sites. It's a Spirorbidae. They can really spread and get unsightly. When I see them I'll break them off. Be careful they can be sharp, but they break easy enough. Usually after a tank matures there will be less of them. No big deal as they are easily controllable.
