Can you id this? Elitereefs sent this to me as a favia. Looks like some sort of chalice to me. Any thoughts?

very short tentacles around the bright orange mouths. It's blue and turns darker blue around the rim. There are also some candy-cane strips (white) around the rim as well.

Well, I put it into the LPS thread...I didn't know that there was a LPS id thread...my mistake.

It's a bad pic, but you should be able to id what type of coral it is from the pic. I don't need a fancy name, just looking to see if it's favia or chalice.

That's what I was telling elitereefs. It grows decently fast. Started with 1 eye and now it's at two in about a month time.

almost def a mummy eye mane...i got one very similar and if you got it from keith, then its same one i got. unfortunately jus jus jus yesterday i thought i gotta move it cuz i got it less than halfway up on my rocks but kinda slanted sideways and i feel like its stunting the growth a little bit cuz its not sitting flat. anyway, sorry to go off topic, nice piece, and glad its growin well!

Well, as a frag, it doesn't look like any favia I've ever seen, but I also haven't seen every favia that God has created!

Do you guys have a pic or link to some sort of favia that you would compare it to? I'll try to get a better pic of it when I can..it's just hard with this cell phone :P
