I really like the look of this fish, so I would like to do some research on it but couldn’t figure out what it is. Sorry for the mediocre picture as soon as it saw me it would not sit still.

Neon dottyback, Psuedochromis aldabraensis.

Most dottys can get pretty mean. In the right system, they are a great addition. The least aggressive of the group is the orchid (fridmani). They can be a good community fish in a medium-sized tank.

Neon dottyback. They are fairly aggressive, not as bad as SOME dottybacks but I definitely wouldn’t plan on housing them with very timid or peaceful fish.

I know someone who kept one for a few years in a semi-aggressive tank with damsels, tangs, a trigger, etc. and they all got along for the most part. Damsels beat each other up more than anything lol

Thanks for the feed back! I will still look into him but it sounds like he may not be a good addition to my tank.
