After being away for a couple weeks from home I found this on one of my LR. Going to kill it when it is bad.... and probably it is?

It looks like some type of caulerpa sp. It is not really bad and I've seen people have it in refugiums, but I would not want it in the display tank. It grows too fast and can be tough to get rid of if not managed.

Tangs love the stuff. I have it in my refugium and thin it out by feeding the vegetarians in the main tank.

looks like c.sertulariodes. Pita in a reef tank, great in a seahorse tank

Thanks guys.
I was thinking of some kind of Caulerpa. I am getting a Tang tonight or tomorrow and if they like it I won't kill it but use it as food.

And yes there is some hair algae....All happened while I was gone.... Going to take care of that also

Michael
