We bought this guy as a bubble coral but it always stays flat and stringy wit knobby bubbles tentacles. All the other bubble corals we have are big and fat bubbles all over. Any ideas if this is actually a bubble coral or something else?

Agree with bubble coral, I have the same coral, just a different species from the one you thinking.

Any idea of why it stays like that and the one right beside it looks like a normal bubble. There is very little flow there.

I believe I was incorrect with my ID. It's still a bubble coral but I believe yours is a physogyra lichtensteini. They have a bit of a different look like yours compared to plerogyra sinuosa
