I just found this tonight in my 6 gallon fluval, which has been up for five months now. I'm amazed I'm finding new things still! It appeared after I had turned the lights off and it looks like it's encased in some soft tissue tube with a Zoa like face with tentacles out its side. Tell me what you think?

Horrible pictures, but couldn't do better at this moment. The thing went back into its little hole.

From your description I'd say Aiptasia, and the Peppermint Shrimp will take care of that.

Ive had Aiptasia before and its definitely not that. It's not a glass anemone either..here are some new pics, it's getting bigger!
