Ideal goby for Candy Cane Pistol

I’ve got a candy cane pistol that was paired with a watchman goby that passed away the other day due to an emergency tank move. Is there any other type of goby this shrimp will pair with or is the watchman generally the only one it forms a relationship with? Wanted another goby but wanna know what my options are

Randalls pistol shrimp can pair with lots of species of goby. Normally they are found with the smaller species like hi fin red banded, wheelers, randalls, Yasha or dracula but can pair up with slightly larger species like pink bar, orange spotted, flag tail and wide barred. I just went through the goby list on liveaquaria so there are pictures and more info about each species there. There are more species that they can pair with but just because they can, doesn't mean they will, so I'd choice a species you like and want to keep anyway.

If you keep an eye on divers den bonded pairs of gobies turn up frequently.

Yasha and Randall's work great together ime.. Mine found each other within 10 minutes

I have a pair of wheelers gobies paired up with a candy cane pistol shrimp.

Yasha and hi fin red band are good choices to for the candy cane.

I actually had 2 sets but one of the other gobies has been missing for a few months & have yet to see the other shrimp. this pr has the left side of the tank & the other single goby has the right side.

I used to have a pair of pink bar gobies that were by far the funniest fish I have ever had!

The only pic I could find that wasn't a video that looks like it was shot by my 11 month old lol
