Hey gang, I currently have a fat pig in my tank (snowflake moray eel) and despite being well fed, he cannot help but eat anything I try adding. He has eaten gobies (when he was smaller) belnnies, a tang (though it was ill and on the verge of death regardless) a porcupine pufferfish, and has accidentally bitten one of my clownfish (clarkii) but still. What can or should I add as tank mates? It is a reef tank.

Looks like you are likely to lose what ever you add. I too have a glutinous eel. So far I've managed to keep the fish i have left, but he did claim 2 so far.

How big is your tank? I would say you probably can't add anything else at this point that it won't see as food

That's strange it's so aggressive. I had one in a 75 that grew from 12 to 20 inches, never ate anything including crabs and shrimp. If you're set on having more livestock in there it sounds like you might want to try another one.

He’s strange. I think it’s something to do with the smell of new tank mates. I have hermit crabs and snails that have lived with no issues for 2 years with him and yet if I add something and he’s not used to the smell, he automatically assumes it’s his next meal
