Anyone tell me why some of my rock has turned green. Underneath I see the purple coralline still. My parameters seem ok except my nitrates are about 20ppm. Getting it down with water changes and removing the rest of the bioballs. I don't think its nuisance algae as it wont scrub off. I think it maybe green coralline but not sure. Anyway I really want the rocks to have the purple coralline. They turned green.

They will grow Coralline in time, but other algae will happen too, and will slowly be replaced so long as conditions are right

Thats my hope. The only thing that shows up under the lights is the green.

Also I noticed this really started to turn the rocks green when I upgrade the Biocube 14 to the Retro 16 LED. They seem to be a lot more intense.
