I know as a little kid back in the early 60s, this was one of my favorite Saturday morning cartoons - Fireball XL5. Someone colorized these images, because back then, it was in black and white. At least most of you didn't have to endure the days when nothing but Walt Disney's Wonderful Work of Color on Sunday nights, was in black and white. Nothing like combining space travel and marionettes!

No, there were several of these type shows, all created by Gerry Anderson (I had to look that up), but I remember the one you are talking about too. Kinda goofy by today's standards, but pretty cool for a little kid 50+ years ago.

I think if I had to be captain a ship, gosh it would have to be Marvin the Martians ship. It’s just wow, that thing is so amazing, and plus it comes w that adorable dog in the Martian dress. Plus at least if I was Captain of his ship, he would never ever lose his Illudiam q-36 explosive space modulator. Plus I would never ever get tired of seeing him walk, and his most famous lines of (wait for it) ..........

• "Isn't that lovely?"
• "Isn't that delightful?"
• "Oh goodie! My Illudium Q-36 explosive space modulator."
• "Where's the kaboom? There was supposed to be an earth-shattering kaboom!"
• "Oh! I'm going to blow it up. ...

I mean gosh guys could uou ever get tired of that, plus no matter how many times bugs bunny blows the ship up,
