My tank is 60”x18”x24”. Internal overflow. I would like it to be 60”x36”x24” with an external coast to coast overflow, or at least a synergy overflow. So bigger and no internal overflow.
Mine is 30" tall, have cursed it many times. It takes all kinds of special tongs to reach anything on the bottom. Unless you have really long arms i would never want a 36"

Where to start.....

1) drilled tank higher up

2) custom sump that is bigger than the trigger 39

3) Made the open-steel tubing stand rather than the traditional cabinet

4). Battery Backups

5). further from wall by 6” or so

6). Plumbed before filling tank

7). UV sterilization

8). Thicker HdPe bottom

9). Chiller

10). Thicker walls to go pure-rimless vs euro-brace, but doubt this would have been practical

11). NOT put a lobster in it

12). Black back panel...... though it is nice being clear “sometimes”

Would never use pukani rock again, too many nooks and crannies that catch and hold crap, even small snails can’t get it!

I would have bought a marineland 300. But I got a brand new 180 for $900 with a coral light off my buddy.

I would not have a sump.i would use a Rubbermaid 100 gallon tub. So much easier.

Also I would kick the tank off the wall and put all electronics on the concrete wall behind tank

Not put center braces on my stand along with a plywood top. Takes so much room and only had a 1/2” of space to get my nyos 220 cup out

I’d love to move my tank to another room in my house. Doing such would be a headache.

I wish I would have put my sump in the basement. Now it’s locked under my stand forever.

This would be 60” long x 36” wide x 24” tall. 36” deep would be rough on most people.

I would have purchased the 750Xl instead of the 525xL

I wish I would’ve gone 6” front to back larger. So that would be a 120 vs 75 gallon. Happy with everything else

I wish I had setup a 100 gallon rubbermaid sump outside my tank. So much easier.

This seems like something a weekend project could solve

I've thought about it. Moving an established 210g tank to get the sump out of the stand doesn’t really sound fun or realistic to me. What I have contemplated is bypassing the under the stand sump and installing a new sump in the basement, but I can’t seem to bring myself to let my hand built acrylic sump in the stand go to waste.
