For sure. That’s crazy. My whole system is 250G or so and started with a 30G. It’s just gotten easier for me going bigger. Especially maintaining alk. Well grats on all the life milestones anyways :POne of the challenges with so many acros and small tank is lack of nutrients. I eventually added 6 fish to keep detectable phosphates, and was dosing nitrates (ESV).
The first two times were early on in 2021 and 2022. I was new to the hobby and didn’t know what I was doing.
This last time, I was finishing up graduate school and getting married at the same time. I couldn’t really focus on the tank, letting it run too low on phosphates.
My guess is that a bigger tank will offer more buffer. At its peak, my tank consumed 3dkh alkalinity per day and could go from 0.08 to 0 phosphates in about a week.
