IM 75g filter roller

Thanks for reporting back. I have mine in slot 2 and plugged 1+3 I’ll report back as well if I find anything different. I did notice despite plugging some water still leaks through

2 vs 1 Klir 4/s on a 75 gal IM EXT. Two ran for 26 days . I had them in the 2nd and 3rd sock hole with the one next to the intake area plugged. I then ran one in the center sock hole plugging the 1st and 3rd hole. It lasted 23 days. So far for me anyway it's not worth running two for now. I just loaded up the one Klir and placed it in hole 1. I am running the large Mighty Jet pump and speed 5.
I'm considering doing this as well if I get tired of socks before IM makes one.

I wonder if plugging the first, using Klir in the second, and then a sock in the last in case the Klir can't keep up would work. Do you find that it winds up having water flow past the single Klir? I have the same pump but turned up to 7 so I'll have more flow.

Don't know if that would work but if the klir cant keep up there is a space where the water caj overflow into the sump in the IM. I think youd end up cleaning both the klir and the sock

I’m not too worried about overflow. Due to reasons stated here there’s a backup hole for overflow. But so far the kilr seems to be keeping up.

Im now thinking about trying the Red Sea nano on my 75G ext / 39gal sump. Maybe 2 of them.

Should I do the klir instead?

I never used the nano mat on the IM so im not sure. The kilt has worked nicely so far for me. My criticism is that it is much harder to change roller than the redsea. (I have the nano mat on a small redsea tank)

I’d love to see a comparison between the Klir and the nano mat if you decide to try it out on the IM tank at some point. I’m back and forth between the two but trying to hold off for IM to release one
