Ordered in mid July with 3-4 months wait time. Emailed IM to get update and response was its coming soon and just wait for email to arrange delivery. Never understand why they require full payment up front and not just a deposit of 20-50%? Any previous experience from anyone with pre order from them?

Hi,
IM is very reputable and their tanks are very popular here on Reef 2 Reef. I’m on my third, with 2 of those not in stock, and have never had a problem. I can’t really recall seeing any other complaints either. I think you can rest easy.
What size tank did you order?

Ya it’s just kinda a waiting game. I waited for a few months then all of a sudden it was ready! Love my IM tanks (have 2). Honestly it’s better to wait than to have them rush a tank with defective seams (like Red Sea).

just got the email from IM saying the aquarium arrived at their facility. Anyone has any idea how long it would take to arrive to the east coast? do you tip the driver after delivery?

Mine took about 4 days train journey to be delivered to NY. You'll be put in touch with a local freight delivery company to arrange the day of actual delivery to your house. I did not tip the driver. He didn't do much, tbh. Just dropped it off in the parking area. If yours helps you with anything else, like bringing it into your garage or something outside their normal practice, then I would tip.
