I'm Back

Hey everyone its been about a year since I have been on here, unfortunatly I have moved out of the country to the great white north of Saskatchewan, I had to sell off all of my coral and tanks and am getting ready to start fresh up here. We have one reef store in my city of about 220,000 people-it's really small but the quality of the coral he brings in rivals any store I was ever at in the states. I will post some pictures here soon of his coral for sale (he let me bring in my camera) and the prices are so cheap.

I wish I could have taken more pictures. Good to hear from you guys. Does anyone know anything about shipping back and forth from Canada to the U.S.?

Cant do it. Stony corals are CITES protected, and youd need to get a CITES permit, which, honestly, aint gonna happen.

First off.. glad you moved to the dark side ;) You will notice that we get a lot of amazing corals.. especially if you want to buy online. Online vendors get most of their stock locally, and our LFSs are amazing.

Secondly, you need CITES to ship things to the US. No questions asked. If you don't and get searched, you and the receiving party can be fined! Somewhere around 2000$ for your troubles.

what about cultured soft corals, how could that fall under CITES? if there is no live rock and its not a reef building coral how could they force a permit?
