Here is my set up. Fresh water planted on the left and my new nano reef on the right. I made the base and hood from a wood wine crate. the blue jar next to the tank is my ATO.

Take it from me, Hippo Tangs are over rated.
I've got this one, and I've been thinking about starting a thread a bout ICH, and how this dingbat always gets it when I doing something in the tank, and it takes 4-6 weeks of doing nothing for it to go away, oh, and no other fish gets it. The Hippo is just nuts.
So, I found the best thing to treat ich. Ginger powder! I also add garlic powder for immunity. I found this on a you tube video about a year ago. You sprinkle a few shakes of both. When ich was running through my tank it took out 3 or 4 fish. I was desperate. I started using it and it worked. Now I use it everyday. More ginger if I’m adding a new fish or I’m in the tank stressing those guys out. Best $10 I’ve spent in a long time. I also have a diffuser for hydrogen peroxide. I also purchased a hydrogen peroxide doser. It’s basically a clay pot that holds a container that slowly releases hydrogen peroxide in the water. One of the two additions completely eradicated ich from 230 gallon tank! Good luck!

We built both these two tanks in the wall after we had a house fire and our 240 gallon metal headlight tank and one of the metal headlights exploded and the tank on the left used to be a predator fish only tank they're on one single system they're both 210 gallons 7 ft each 24x24 on the right side it showcases the older reef rock structures style and on the left side is in cases the newer reef rock structure Style my dad has been in the hobby for 35 years I am 13 and hope to be a marine biologist one day this is where I've started and any tips or pointers on what I should change or do different on these tanks I'll add close up picture and that's it sorry about the Dirty Glass
